  • Upcoming events
    • Scouting for Food pickup 11/13 @ 9AM, meet near east entrance of Sterling Creek Publix
    • Liger Growl 11/19-21 at Camp La-No-Che for Lions and Tigers. If you need to borrow a tent or other camping equipment, let me know.
    • Space Coast Lightfest 12/3-5 in Melbourne. You won't be able to drive to the campsite after 5PM on Friday or Saturday. Everybody can put their gear in the pack trailer at the meeting before the campout and I'll bring it in so you don't have to carry everything from the parking area.
  • Dues of $201 are due as soon as possible. You can pay by cash or check. I will set up a way to pay online, but there will be an additional fee charged by the company that processes the payments. I will send a link out to pay online once it is available.
    • New Scouts paid a one time registration fee and prorated BSA council and national fees for the rest of 2021. Pack dues will cover BSA fees and pack expenses for January-December 2022.
    • If dues or other expenses pose a hardship, contact John Valentino. John will keep requests for financial assistance confidential.
  • Parents should create an account on Scoutbook to keep track of their Scout's advancement. https://scoutbook.scouting.org
  • Youth protection
    • All Scouts in first grade or older are required to go over the Youth Protection pamphlet with their parents. New families should go over this as soon as possible because it is a requirement for them to earn their Bobcat rank.
    • All parents are encouraged to take Youth Protection Training to familiarize themselves with BSA's policies. All pack leaders and committee members are required to take YPT every 2 years.
    • For campouts, Scouts can only share a tent with immediate family members or other Scouts within 2 years of their age with no adults in the tent. If you want to bring extended family members or friends, we may have tents we can loan you.
  • Everybody attending meetings and activities, including parents and siblings, needs to fill out a BSA medical form and send it to me. A doctor's signature is not required: https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_AB.pdf
  • Scouts are encouraged to wear wear their field uniform (full uniform) to pack meetings and formal events and their activity uniform (pack T-shirt, Scout shorts and hat) to den meetings and other activities.
    • We have a few used uniforms that will be available next week.
